Vendor Central: Contesting Chargebacks and Invoice Reconciliation

Transcription

If Amazon receives a product that has either reached its shelf life or expired or will expire in the next 90 days, you are not compliant and will receive an expired product chargeback. The amount for this chargeback is $2 per unit, plus a 100% of the cost of the product. You can prevent this chargeback by ensuring that the products shipped to Amazon have an expiry date of more than 90 days from the estimated date of delivery to Amazon’s fulfillment center.

Amazon also suggests that you use a globally unambiguous format for the expiry date on the product. For example, 2015 dash mark, dash one to explain that the month is March rather than 12 for slash one, for slash 11, which could mean December the first 2011 or the 1st of November, 2012.
