In doing so, Amazon created policies to maintain a marketplace that is safe for buyers to feel comfortable that they are buying an authentic product at the best available price, while still remaining fair to brands that are listing their products on their platform.

Violations of these product policies may result in content removal or account deactivation. After all, let’s face it, Amazon is a shopping platform and anyone who shops on the website is there to either buy a product or researcher product with the intent to eventually buy it. Therefore, it’s prudent that Amazon puts in place product policies that protect their shopping marketplace and a customer’s experience.

Product policy compliance is another important metrics that Amazon has put in place to measure your account health and seller performance. So in addition to maintaining an acceptable customer service performance rating, you also have to stay within the targets set under the product policy Compliance.
