The item comparison and alternate purchase behavior report can be filtered by category, subcategory, brand and have a selective timeframe or reporting range that is daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly with the relevant, additional filters to the right of this.

The first table of data is that of item comparisons and contains the following information. The top three ASINs that customers who viewed your product also viewed the percentage of times. These products reviewed by the customers who viewed your product within the same day. The second table of data is that of alternate purchase and contains the following information.

The top three ASINs of the most frequently purchased product by the customers who viewed your product. But purchased another product instead. And the percentage of orders that contained the top three alternative products in comparison to the total number of alternative product orders. These two reports will help you to discover whether you are losing sales, because there is either a better alternative product out there that customers prefer, or whether you need to upgrade your product content or images on the product page to attract these customers.

Or whether you need to engage in any marketing campaigns to improve conversion rates with customers. For example, maybe the alternative product is running a coupon or lightning deal over that period, which has contributed to the alternative purchase data you are seeing.
