The seventh product policy that will affect your seller and account health is restricted products, policy violations. The sale of illegal, unsafe, and other restricted products is strictly prohibited. In an effort to maintain a safe buying platform for customers, Amazon will take swift measures against brands that sell illegal or unsafe products.

Be sure to carefully review the restricted products list included at the end of this module to ensure your products do not fall within these categories, and make sure you check back regularly if you are offering new products.
Amazon has been known to update listings and policies regularly. Amazon does encourage you to consult with your legal counsel if you have questions about the laws and regulations concerning your products, even where our product is listed. As an example of permitted listings, all products and listings must also comply with related laws.
If you do supply a product that is in violation of the law or any of Amazon’s policies, Including those listed on their restricted products, they will take corrective action measures. It could include immediately suspending or terminating your selling privileges, destroying inventory in fulfillment centers at your expense and without reimbursement.
Plus, Amazon has a potential to terminate the business relationship and permanent withholding of payment. The sale of illegal or unsafe products can also lead to legal action, including civil and criminal penalties. Amazon does take this seriously and works with regulators, third party experts, vendors, and sellers to improve the ways they detect and prevent illegal and unsafe products from reaching their marketplace.
If you suspect that other brands are in violation of this policy, Amazon does encourage you to report the listing so they can investigate and take appropriate action.
