Just like seller feedback. It’s nearly impossible to have a stellar product that is loved by all customers who leave glowing five-star reviews. Product reviews are a powerful motivator that influences customer’s purchasing decision. So it’s really important to stay on top of negative reviews and turn those reviews into a positive outcome.

If your product receives negative reviews, you must address it immediately to try and resolve the problem. Remember that reviews are posted publicly. So any negative complaint by one person. Has the potential to be seen by millions of prospective new customers, which could adversely affect your product sales, seller, viewpoint and brand perception.

You cannot ask a buyer to change or remove their review. This is strictly against Amazon’s terms of service and a differing point from seller feedback. You can ask a customer to change or remove seller feedback, but you cannot ask them to alter or remove or review responding to a review, proves that as a brand, you care about your customers and are paying attention to more than just sales.

And that you are interested in building a long-term relationship with them. It also shows that you are customer service focused. And value them as a customer. It allows them to see that a person is behind the company and the brand is not just an unknown entity selling product on a massive e-commerce platform.

It makes the brand real in the eyes of a customer, responding to negative reviews. Publicly is your first line of defense that tries to right the wrong and chose potential customers. That you’re a brand that cares.
