Amazon expects the suppliers to request for a carrier assignment for their shipments. For Amazon suppliers, it is mandatory to create a routing request and vendor central off to they confirm the purchase order? They have to provide the pickup date time. Number of cottons, weight and volume of the purchase order.

This is called the routing request in vendor central. Amazon will send the routing confirmation email to the support. Amazon, we’ll also assign a reference number called Amazon reference number or ARN for the routing request. The ARN is a reference number that Amazon generates when a shipment has been routed and a carrier has been assigned to make a pickup.

This number is only generated for collector shipments. The routing request will become shipments with assigned carrier and pending ASN submission.
