Amazon Alexa known simply as Alexa is a virtual assistant developed by Amazon first used in the Amazon echo and the Amazonecho.smarts because developed by Amazon, it is capable of voice interaction, music, payback, making to-do lists, setting along. Streaming podcasts, paying all your books and providing weather, traffic, sports, and other real-time information such as news.

Users are able to extend the Alexa capabilities by installing skills and additional functionality developed by third party vendors in other settings, more commonly apps. Echo devices connect to the voice controlled, intelligent, personal assistant service Alexa, which responds to the names Alexa, echo or computer.
