On the off chance that you have a lot of these SKUs that you would like to add as merchant fulfilled SKUs in your catalog, it is advisable then that you use a template to do it. More information and details on the various templates you can use are found in the Seller central catalog management course.
show moreFor the purpose of this course, we will run through the process via template, as explained here with in order to list multiple ASINs via the file template. You can either choose the add a product item from the inventory dropdown menu on the top menu of Seller Central. And on the next page, select the download and inventory file link, or you can select add products via upload from the inventory dropdown menu.
Both options will take you to the same page. On this page, scroll down to the inventory files header, and click on the inventory loader file name alongside the product matching only file type.
On the new page that opens. Scroll down and click on the inventory loaded templates in order to download. Once you open the template, it is imperative to take notes of the first worksheet called data definitions, as this contains the meanings of the various numerical options available to you when creating your products definitions, and use for each field and which values are accepted for each cell.
It also highlights which information is required and which optional or desired. We would like to encourage you to fill in as much information as you possibly can here to make your listings as complete as possible, thereby assisting consumers in finding and purchasing the right product.
On the inventory loaded template, remember that all columns highlighted in yellow are required, so you’ll need to complete all information here. All columns highlighted in peach or orange are desired, so please do your best to complete all information here too. Your fields in the template are as follows. SKU, which is required. Product id, which is desired.
This is the product’s current UPC, EAN, ISBN or ASIN, whichever you choose to use the products ID type, which is desired. You would need to accept the relevant number based on which product ID you would use in the previous cell. For example, if you use the ASIN, then you would need to select the number one from the dropdown menu as one is for ASIN.
Price, which is desired. Minimum seller allowed price desired, maximum seller allowed price desired, item condition desired. Again, you would need to enter the relevant number as explained and defined in the data definitions worksheets.
And 11 is for new, quantity is desired. This field is definitely required as you’re creating SKUs for merchant fulfilled. You can answer one for now in the spreadsheets and update this at a later stage. If you have a list of available quantity from your operations or warehouse team already, then you can use these quantities instead, The add delete column is desired.
You would need to select the relevant letter based on the definitions of each as shown on the data definitions worksheets. For the purpose of this video, you would select a for update or add.
The WorldShip internationally field is desired, and again, you would need to select the relevant number or letter from the dropdown menu as provided in the data definitions worksheets. We are going to choose N for not eligible. Expedited shipping is also desired and we are going to choose domestic, standard plus is desired.
You would need to select the relevant letter based on the definitions of each, as shown on the data definitions, worksheets, and we’re gonna select Y for yes. The item note is desired.
The fulfillment center idea, you would obviously select FBM here for Fulfilled by Merchants. The product tax code, the handling time, the merchant shipping group name, and then everything to do with batteries. Batteries acquired are batteries included. Battery cell composition, battery type number of batteries, battery weights. Battery weights, units of measure, number of lithium ion cells, number of lithium metal cells, lithium battery packaging, lithium battery energy content, lithium battery energy continuous of measure, lithium battery weight.
And lithium battery weights, units of measure. You can leave these fields blank unless you choose to ship via FBA, which case you would need to complete it. But in this course, we are showing you how to fill out this template for fulfillment by merchants. So you can leave these blank. The supplier declared regulations.
Fields, we have 1, 2, 3, 4, and five. If you have information here, you can answer it. The Hazmat United Nations regulatory id, safety data sheet, url. If you have one for your products. Then of course your item weights volume wait, unit measure and volume unit measure the flash points. Your GHS classifications class one, two, and three.
Obviously you would need to try and fill these in as much as possible. The California Proposition 65 compliance type. If your product contains lead, you would need to enter these fields as well. And that brings us to the end. So now you can save your file either in text format, CSV o XLS format in order for it to be uploaded.
So once you’ve completed all the relevant fields that you can save your file and return to the page from where you downloaded it originally. That is the ad products via upload page, located in the dropdown menu of the inventory tab on sale essential. Select the check and upload your inventory file tab along the top of the page.
To check your file first, select your file from the drop down menu provided. Choose your file by clicking on the gray Choose file button. And you can enter an email address should you wish to be notified. Once your file has been uploaded, click the yellow check file buttons in thereafter. Then click on the monitor upload status tab at the top of the page once you have uploaded your template for checking.
If your upload status says, Records that require further action from you are saved as drafts, then you need to fix certain fields in your template. Under the actions column, click on the complete drafts.
The next page will show a table of items that you need to fix, which you can then choose to do manually, line by line per product by clicking on the relevant links in the action column. You can also choose to bulk select if your fixes are the same for multiple SKUs by clicking the various SKUs and then clicking bulk action on X selected.
Once you have made all the necessary amendments, click the yellow save all button at the top branch of the page. Once you have fixed the relevant errors, you can download the processing report by clicking the download your processing report link on the monitor. Upload status tab on the ad products by upload page.
Open this page and then use the fixed errors from this file to insert into your inventory loaded template. Save this template again and returned the ad products via upload page. Locates it in the drop down menu of the inventory tab on seller central. Select the check and upload your inventory file tab along the top of the page.
Under step two, upload file. Select your file type from the drop down menu provided. Choose your file by clicking on the gray Choose file button and you can answer an email address should you wish to be notified once your file has been uploaded, select the processing reports and note that Excel is preferred. Click the yellow upload button and your products will be uploaded to your catalog.
You can choose to skip the Chick file in step one and go straight to uploading your inventory Load of fat file as this step will still show you on the monitor upload status. Whether there are any errors in your file upload.
