With millions of prime shoppers on Amazon enticed by fast and free shipping. Most buyers expect to receive their purchases delivered to their doorsteps within days of placing their order. Amazon has been a trailblazer on this front and change delivery timetables and customer expectations. Customers now expect to receive orders delivered to them in just a few days.

Shipping performance is another important metrics that Amazon has put in place to measure your account health and seller performance. So in addition to maintaining an acceptable customer service performance rating and adhering to product policy compliance, you also have to stay within the target set under the shipping performance metrics.
Since Amazon is responsible for the fulfilled by Amazon FBA, shipping metrics, these metrics also apply to sellers who are self-fulfilling orders. There are three metrics at fall within shipping performance, and the first is a late shipment rate that has a target of under 4%. The second is a pre fulfillment cancel rate that has a target of under two and a half percent, and the last is a valid tracker rate that has a target of over 95%.
