The product safety team at Amazon works to protect Amazon’s customers from risks of injury associated with products offered on Amazon by looking into and taking action on reported safety complaints and incidents.

If Amazon deems a product to be concerning or unsafe, they may remove their product from the website. They may notify sellers and manufacturers that they must provide additional information to keep their listing life.
They may place relevant warnings on the product detail page or take action depending on the situation. Plus Amazon takes many precautionary steps as well. They monitor public recall alerts websites, and also learn of recalls directly from manufacturers and vendors. When Amazon learns of a recall, they suspend all impacted product offerings from their website and quarantine any related inventory in their fulfillment centers.
They also reach out to any customers that previously purchase impacted products and notifies all sellers to inform them about the recall.
