If you are notified of an intellectual property complaint, it’s important to take action and respond to an IP infringement warning. It suggested to reply to Amazon to appeal or dispute the claim if you feel the notice was wrongly issued. Here we will outline the different claims and necessary steps to appeal.
show moreDispute and keep your account in good standing. Amazon does take steps to enforce IP infringement and does take the situation quite seriously. The first step is responding to an IP infringement. Notice if you receive a notice or warning for infringement and you believe the rights owner or Amazon made a mistake, you may appeal or dispute the claim.
Detailed steps are outlined depending on the type of infringement and provided as a supplement at the end of this module. The second is receiving multiple warnings of an IP infringement. If you receive multiple warnings again, there are steps to take to appeal the infringement. If you believe you are selling non infringing products, submit an appeal through Seller Central.
With a list of the alleged ASINs and at least one of the following, invoices proving the authenticity of your products. It is okay to remove the pricing information or submit Amazon order IDs, demonstrating product authenticity or submit an authorization letter from the rights owner, or submit a court order finding that your product does not infringe the asserted IP or that the asserted IP is invalid.
The third is account suspension. If your account has been suspended because of notices of IP infringement against your products or content, you can provide Amazon with a viable plan of action. You can refer to the video later in the course that provides tips for putting a plan of action together to reinstate your account suspension.
