Similar to other policies, any violations of these may result in the loss of selling privileges or other legal consequences. There are three main types of intellectual property. The first is copyright, which is legal protection for original works of authorship.
The second is trademark, which is legal protection for a word, symbol, design, or a combination of these that brands use to identify goods and services. And the last is patent, which is legal protection for inventions. Amazon has set a target for zero complaints to maintain a good seller health standing.
If you are notified of a complaint, it’s important to take action and respond to an IP infringement warning. It’s suggested to reply to Amazon to appeal or dispute the claim if you feel the notice was issued in error. Steps are provided in other videos to navigate through the different scenarios.
