Order processing speed measures how fast an order was shipped. It is calculated as the sum of lead type on the order date, the ship confirmed Delta and the missed carrier first scan rate. Ship confirm Delta is the difference between the advanced shipment notification or ship confirmation date and the expected ship date for an order, it is used to measure how quicker or slower the order was shipped.
show moreShip confirm delta can be positive. That is the order shipped after the expected ship date, or it can be negative. That is the order shipped before the expected ship date, or it can be zero. The order shipped on the expected ship date, a zero metric is the ideal.
Missed carrier first scan delta is when the advanced shipment notification or ship confirmation can be sent prematurely. That is before a package is physically shipped and the missed carrier first scan metric is then used to validate the advanced shipment notification or ship confirmation accuracy, hence for lead time measurement, the additional time taken for CFS or missed carrier first scan, which is over the 24 hours is included in the processing speed metric.
missed carrier first scan Delta cannot be a negative value. Accurate advanced shipment notification or ship confirmation and timely missed carrier. First scan are important to have correct lead time values. For lead time, upgrade eligibility at least 85% of delivery packages should have an order processing speed meeting the next shorter lead time band speed.
You can meet these targets by maintaining an accurate inventory feed aligned with your operational capacity and by providing accurate carrier pickup times via your ordering information under your warehouse settings. Edit warehouse from the dropdown menu of the settings tab on your top menu of vendor central.
If you consistently exceed your performance, targets and ship faster than your current lead time, your lead time will be eligible for upgrade. Upgrades are set automatically. However, only downgrades can be manually adjusted. If you miss your performance targets by repeatedly shipping lead, your lead time will be downgraded.
Such as usually ships in one to two business days, being downgraded to usually ships in three to four business days, Amazon doesn’t charge fees, suspend warehouses, or otherwise penalize warehouses that have too many late shipments. They simply downgrade your lead time to an appropriate level where the metric targets will be met.
Longer ead times impact sales. Once you have shown steady improvement in your lead time, you will be upgraded again. If you are not able to ship at your current lead time and want to downgrade, Amazon can make this change. If you provide valid reasons for the change request.
