Direct fulfillment simply means that you as the vendor ship some of your products directly to consumers as, and where they’re ordered as opposed to you receiving purchase orders from Amazon themselves through your vendor central account and shipping your products to the Amazon fulfillment centers, you can also choose to have part of your catalog ship as direct fulfillment.
show moreParticularly, if you have complex or large products or your entire catalog to sign up for direct fulfillment, you must meet the program’s requirements, including having a warehouse and bank account in the same country where your account is registered to sign up for direct fulfillment, go to warehouse, settings, and follow the on-screen instructions.
After you sign up, update your warehouse address and contact information, and then add your products. When a product has been designated for direct fulfillment and a customer orders it, Amazon will notify you to prepare the product and ship it to the customer directly from your warehouse no later than the required ship date.
It is important to note from the beginning that although direct fulfillment does have some chargebacks related to it. The most fundamental item to know about is your operational performance metrics. As they related to direct performance, poor metrics could lead to lost sales and an extreme circumstances, suspension of your account.
