What search words and phrases that were current and popular last month are very likely to not be relevant or popular in the following month. This is why it is vital for you to be updating your product listings on a regular basis.
You may not wish to do this monthly, but you may wish to stagger what content you edits and how often on your listings, because the more relevant your product listings are to the current and popular search terms. The more likely they are to show up on the first page of a search. And the higher, the odds that the consum will click on your product listing and convert the click into a sale.
This then increases both your visibility and your ranking on Amazon. It is therefore imperative that you check on which search terms are being used for your product type at least once a month, and make sure that your products show up on the first page. If you’re not on the first page in an Amazon search.
Then you’re not in the store. So to speak, we recommend a monthly check on your search terms and keywords with the following recommendations for when to update your product list and content title. Once every quarter bullet points, once a month, product description, once a month, images and video, once a quarter or twice a year, keeping your product listings fresh, ensures that they’re always relevant to what customer are using for their search terms today.
