Vendor Central: Why is Amazon Not Placing Purchase Orders

If you go to your catalog page on vendor central by selecting catalog from the dropdown menu of the items tab on the top menu of vendor central, you may find an icon of an exclamation mark and a yellow triangle alongside the fix your products link in the top right side of the catalog page. This is a clear indication that some information is missing or incorrect click on this link.
show moreYou will then be shown a table of products that are under review issues listed as under review are being investigated and updated by Amazon items no longer listed as under review have been successfully added to your catalog, select and fix localization issues to sell your product to different languages and marketplaces, select and fix other issues to complete your listing contributions.
You can edit anything you want and need to by clicking the fixed selected products button or by locating your products, that Amazon is not placed in purchase orders four on your catalog page, selecting them by clicking the box to the left of each and then clicking the edit product details button. You will be taken to the same product pages for each ASIN selected where you will see the following tabs, supply description, product identity, offer product details, safety, and compliance and shipping.
Should any of these tabs be accompanied by an exclamation mark within a yellow triangle. It means that vital information crucial to your product listing is missing or incorrect and needs to be fixed. Your product details page is where you would update all copy related to your listing, such as the title, descriptive paragraph bullet points and generic keywords or search terms.
The safety and compliance page is where you would fix any issues to do with certifications that may be needed or may not be needed. If you select that a certification is required here, then you would need to submit these to Amazon, which we will explain how to in a later video in this course, The shipping section is where you would need to include all the weights and dimensions of your products, as well as any shipping configurations that Amazon may need to be able to know how much to order from you and whether by singles in a packs or cartons.
This may very well be the reason Amazon has not placed any purchase orders with you because they don’t know what the ordering unit is. You will then click the submit and continue button to the top right of the page, and can then proceed to edit the next product listing you selected on the first page. If this same exclamation mark within a yellow triangle appears alongside the image at the top, then the images need to be fixed.
If it appears alongside manage images, link on the catalog page in the top left side of the page, then you would need to fix the images for some of your products. Your images may not be high enough resolution or good enough quality. You may have a side view image labeled as a packaged image, whatever the reason you would need to find the incorrect image and replace it with the correct or better version.
It is vital to ensure that you understand the imaging requirements of Amazon, and you can find out what these are by clicking the support link at the top of your vendor central dashboard, scrolling down to the help section at the bottom of the page and clicking the images and video link. This next page will give you details on what your image requirements are for uploading and labeling images for your product detail page.
